The group is split into small teams, each of whom is given materials, tools and other necessities. The mission: To build a rally car!
You are asked to document the building process with a project manual, which contains working drawings, design strength calculations, HSE, competitor analysis, and more. You will need a sharp pencil and a steady hand!
At the depot you may purchase special add-ons to style your vehicle – such as lights, a horn, or what about a real foxtail on the radio aerial? There is also a good selection of spray paint to decorate your vehicle and accessories. Each team will also receive a boiler suit to be decorated in the style of the car. Many assignments need to be solved in parallel – everyone needs to be involved, and this is why the activity is such a team-building winner.
The high-point of the day comes with the rally proper. It’s a wonderful spectacle to see grown adults get into the spirit of the competition. It’s all about winning! And when it’s all over the prizes are handed out – for fastest car, for fanciest car, for best documentation, and more.
